Filtering is a beautiful thing!
Or you could look at the published proof like everyone else who is saying what Iâm saying. The only âhypeâ is the few botting carriers that CCP teleports to hisec and flag as criminals for people to shoot for events. Every other ban number is a dedicated investigation from a dedicated team. Just how long do you think it takes to look through a logs and determine beyond a reasonable doubt that a character is a bot or an RMTer? The answer is more than an hour to a few hours which is why there is only several thousand banned a quarter. Itâs labor intensive work and your belittling them and calling them corrupt. Stop being an ass.
Actually, as dishonest and shitty as trump is, I can say he makes a lot of damned money. Also, I framed the argument fine, you just failed to comprehend it because or youâre lack of any manner of logic, as framed by your cyclic idiocy in the post Iâm replying to.
Also what in the â â â â is a âGen Zeroâ? Is this some new term you came up with to shake around angrily at anyone who doesnât believe that vaccines are good, trumpâs a moron, and the sun revolves around a round earth? Is it some term you invented while living off your parentsâ teet in the basement?
Also, I donât need to beg my parents for a credit card, Iâm subbed for the next year and change, and donât have to spend every non-working, waking moment AFK/bot mining to plex my account(s)âŚ
How does one auto filter out junk posts about âunsubbing X number accounts til fixâ?
No one takes amex. Itâs the worst. I remember when no one took discover, but that changed at least.
Havenât gotten that one in a while. Most of the recent ones Iâve gotten are the arrest warrent scams where âowe significant debtâ and need to confirm your credit information and identity to prevent your arrest.
buuuaahahahah!
The sad thing if the dingus up there isnât actually an AFK or RMT miner, heâs likely to be one of the ones to fall for these scam calls, and keep them going. 'Cause wow holy â â â â that dude is dumb.
Bah okay iâll try and stop picking on the kid, so long as he keeps his ⌠face hole shut. I tend to get really pissy when people bitch at the company whoâs game they play about moronic and obvious â â â â â â â â .
I applaud CCP for this move. They are trying to improve the game and deserve credit for that. Someone said above that there are no chat rooms in space and I think that is worth repeating. There are plenty of tools for discovering enemies in system. Perhaps the miners will share wealth by paying corp mates or alliance members to run local security to protect their mining ships. The local blackout will increase PVP and could more equitably distribute wealth in the game. I like it. The next thing to do is to fix the current sov system which has helped make null horribly stagnant. How about a limit to the number of systems that may be held by any one alliance? Good for a start.
The term âgeneration zeroâ can only come from a movie of the same name. Iâve never heard someone call someone else generation zero before, or since. So yeah, itâs bs.
Random youtube link cause its still relevant⌠even in this thread
and EvE related.
Thing is, the current fozziesov was actually a change in the right direction, it just needs more refinement. Sov grinding before fozziesov was absolutely garbage, and caused me to burn out for a year or so last I experienced it.
Hopefully local poofing will help a bit with this, and theyâll get some more refinement to the sov mechanics. But I digress â I havenât enough experience with null sov mechanics since foziesov was implemented, as when I came back I dicked around in nullsec in a smaller group that didnât have to deal with structure griding, then left because of lazy fucks getting dropped non-stop and bitching because⌠they didnât listen to âhow to stay alignedâ, and left to Jspace. havenât turned back yet.
I havenât been playing a lot lately! I recently saw this and then stumbled into a few free days of eve via Twitch.
I am of mixed feelings about how this âblackoutâ will work.if it is just a total blackout just because, nope. If it was a rolling theme based on Drifter attacks, I would be all for it. As it gives players a chance to prevent it. But I also think players than should have the ability to supply the Concord chat systems for what ever fuel they need to work.
One problem > two solutions (ether fight and prevent) or (Fix/resupply)
I donât wanna steel the focus off this thread from what it is, but it would be nice to know more of the reason behind this move.
I always was one for removing local in null and moving it to a constellation or region level chat. But I am also one who thinks corporate population was allowed to get to big, to many corporations were able to join the same alliance and to many groups could be set blue.
As I have been sitting on the sidelines, I look forward to seeing what CCP does with this.
-1 hs baby
The temp to perm black out. Is a terrible ideaâŚthat was my first reaction. But now with time to consider the impact, This one act will in my opinion bring a needed balance to this regen of new eden. 1. Coperation in game will be higher. 2 choak point systemâs will grow in stragic importance the longer it last. Groups will need to have active players in several time zones to maintain security. 3 null security space will grow with new alliances, And coalitionâs. And my last point. Bots will be decimated. Priceâs in all markets will stabilize⌠eventually.
So the reasons that Iâve been able to reason are multifaceted. However CCP hasnât really released a concrete âThis is why we dunâitâ. So its speculation just like everyone elseâs posts.
I think theyâre trying to make a story-friendly way of removing local. That much is fairly obvious.
The underlying reasons I believe are:
Combatting botters. Theyâve no doubt gotten their hands on several of the botting programs and realized that local is a huge part of their functionality.
If a bot doesnât have local, they have to use other, much more difficult or even impossible to program (for now) ways to gain intel and make decisions. So this will possibly put such a wrench into the botterâs machine that it will collapse, and EvE will once again be a purely PLAYER driven game.
Another thing that removing local will do for nullsec is punish those who are almost completely safe in nullsec while AFK mining and ratting, often with multiple accounts.
While this might get these people to unsub and hurt CCPs bottom line, botters and the overall absolute safety of nullsec that leads to massive gluts in certain resources from AFK miners really hurt the game even more.
People have been screaming about local for years, and I honestly used to be one of the people spouting the same crap 5-6 years ago that people are spewing today â though Iâve actually grown and adapted and learned enough to realize that I was, and these new people screeching now, are wrong in every single argument that they make â I know cause I used to make the same arguments.
For the record the strongest argument that people make against the removal of local is blops. But I refute this in response to another player here TL;DR is if you stay aligned, and arenât a derp, youâll be fine.
You thought Dominion is badâŚtry it in Fozzie SOV. The magic wand timers that take twenty minutes. To generate a timer, that is going to be ruthelessly TZ tanked so if you donât have 24 hour coverage GOOD LUCK!
Then sprinkle that with a couple hundred structures ALL of which take days to kill, and all of the mediums that you will damage cap with a single big dick gun dread and take SIX siege cycles. In Dominion (or pre dominion even) if you were spending 30 minutes on grid with a POS you didnât bring enough dreads.
Frigging cancerâŚmy distaste for it was enough to get me back into low sec.
That low power rait takes 36 hours of reinforcement in null 132 hour in high secâŚif they are fueled it takes a weekâŚand cost a good deal less than a number of my old ratting ships.
You could always come join us in jspace EPSYN is a good group and weâre always recruiting.
But wow holy crap fozzie sov was supposed to reduce grind, not make it even worse! that sounds like absolute garbage! Crap! I definitely think mechanics in jspace are much better in that regard (though no asset safety can REALLY hurt). Just shoot the crap into armor, come back for that and blap it to hull, then put on the blindfold and whack the pinata and hope it has got stuff in it
I dont think this change matters much, things will still decline.
Just flew around for 2hrs in utterly vacant null space (somehow the map says there are at least 2+ pilots in space in each system tho⌠guess thats broken) Oh wait there is a supercarrier and 2 tethered VNIâs. What was that âquitting from boredomâ quote earlier?
The argument that lots of battles happen in null is true-- if you are part of a huge sov cap fleet and rich.
Sorry but this drives new players away. Everyone likes the sandbox, but if they wanted rl, theyâd do that. Eve has been around so long it is now fully rl.
10 years and i say yay, this is literally going to stomp mud holes in big power blocks. obviously you saw how bad things got on serenity, although they could come together and form a super power bloc forcing people to hs, they also had some of the highest rmtâs and bots on their servers, but since you werenât the devs there, you couldnt stop them from doing it. here, this will stop most of the bots, or let you spot them, also, you can literally just go looking out on the web for the bot makers and no matter what implementations of bots they come up with, literally anyone using them can get picked off by you pretty much right away. this will limit null sec power blocs to specific systems unless they roam with those supers, it will provide newer players with the ability to go into null like they do in wh space, and be undetectable unless they are scanned by probes or are in anoms that show up. people like myself, who have alts galore and honestly set things up to stop people in their tracks coming into my system or at least can see them come in, it will limit my profit or at least limit what i can produce, but, it will be an added bonus when i take what i know how to do to the enemy and am patient enough to let them come out of hiding pop bubbles or drop bubbles. it will change the landscape so that null sec canât be formed into that huge null alliance like what happened on serenity and im super happy about that. but honestly, these detectors you want to bring about, if thatâs what you are doing wink wink, then i think honestly they shouldnt be cheap, they should require sov, and not be something that can be reinforced, but killed outright the first time they are attacked like mobile tractor units. this will of course limit your null sec alliances in ways that you want, while giving growth to new players that i want to bring on and train. holding sov for me right now doesnât seem right, but i have the ability to do it, with a large number of players in the alliance, however major coalitions are killing eve, and the ability for someone like me to build dreams like u want, and itâs also harder for new players to get into these areas and stay alive. the game needs a bit of pruning of the older players and bots and jerks that just ruin things for those you want to keep. as you have previously stated less than 5% of your new players are staying. this isnât a good thing. but itâs even worse when you are keeping people around that are ruining those new player numbers while the old players keep doing things to threaten the new player experience and your bottom line. hopefully by this point, you and your accounting department can see this, and iâm truly hoping you can trim the fat to make that bottom line bigger in the long run by getting rid of whatâs ruining the experience for myself and many other people who really care about this game to the point we do not use bots and have gone hunting for them, religiously.
thanks for reading this, hope you have a great day.
