Main AFK cloaky thread

Your ‘problem’ here has been someone’s ‘problem’ since cloaking has existed, and so far, you’ve brought nothing new to the conversation either. You’re just expatiating the same old arguments that have been regurgitated by one whiner or another throughout EVE’s history, like a flat earther exclaiming “YOU CAN’T SEE THE CURVE!” as if it’s an original argument. You aren’t exactly adding anything intelligent yourself, kiddo. Just more of the same.

For everyone involved.

Wrong. Nobody in nul except renters, and even then only a few of them, is complaining about cloaky campers. Nobody. And only about once a month on the forums. If it was everybody, then you wouldn’t be having this degree of pushback. I suggest you stop assuming you talk for everybody unless you’ve actually talked WITH everybody.

Why would you need to worry about anything if you live under a supercap umbrella? But that does not justify the mechanic. The mechanic is bad, it’s not fun for any party involved, that’s a fact.

Toxic is only your ignorance. We’ve been playing this game for much longer. You don’t get to tell us that our game is toxic. Instead, you get told that you can stop playing it and leave any time you want.

I doubt it.

I pay just like you. I also make logical arguments, instead of getting butthurt and offended like you currently are.

It’s not a fact, it’s a personal problem. The fact is, you have existing tools to deal with the ‘problem’. The fact is, there’s more than one nul bloc with a supercap fleet, and if you think they can be everywhere at once, you’re just an idiot. The big nul blocs are just as vulnerable to hotdrops as you or anyone else, but they still don’t have this problem. The fact is, they didn’t get big by being idiots, they got big by figuring out how to deal with their problems, including cloaky campers. The only reason you’re renting, and calling cloaking a bad mechanic, is because you’re an idiot with an attitude that has absolutely zero chance of achieving success of any quantifiable measure in this game.

Do tell.

And yet have I learned to accept the mechanic as is when I started and not have had a problem with it, because I can use it just like everybody else can and without calling it toxic.

No. You need to adjust your attitude first. I don’t help people that want other people to solve their problems for them. When your attitude has shifted from “CCP nerf the thing that’s in my way” to “How do I move the thing that’s in my way?” then we can talk. Until then, all you warrant is my ridicule and disrespect.

It’s funny how carrier ratting, roqual mining etc are always touted as horribly unbalanced by players like you and ruin the game, but as soon as it comes to AFK cloaking then all of a sudden the game is perfectly balanced.

Because you have no answer to that question basically do you.

Haha, that’s where you’re going with this? Okay, here’s a response.

I could go on but I’ll get in trouble for spamming. People have been solving this problem since cloaking has existed just by using their heads. Your failure to figure it out is not my responsibility. This has been whined about and whined about since forever, and CCP aren’t going to remove the ability to cloak up in a system and be a nuisance.

If there is a ‘solution’ to this ‘not problem’ then it is the solution to the real problem - local chat in nul. It should be removed. Then you’ll have no idea the cloaky camper is even there.

You don’t know a first thing about me. To you I’m not a person, but a mass of random people who complain about many things, which you don’t even have started to grasp. So how about you get off the forum, play the game some more, and comeback when you have an actual problem?

Local chat is the only way to deal with hotdroppers.

No, it’s really not.

Yes, it really is.

You clearly haven’t been playing this game for very long if you think that. No, it’s really not. I would recommend you play the game for a few more months before you assume you have an opinion on strategy and tactics that matters, but I don’t think this game is for you to be honest, and I can only recommend you biomass and play something more your speed… something that holds your hand and tells you exactly how to play. This game clearly isn’t for you, not with the attitude you have.

Yes it is. If local doesn’t exist then it’s impossible to deal with a larger entity. Local is the only equaliser between big and small alliances. Maybe you should get more experience playing the game.

Go tell that to wormholers.
