Main AFK cloaky thread

Then it is off-topic for this thread, which is about cloaking. Maybe if you ask nicely CCP will give you a “main anti-AFK ideas” trash can thread where all of the complaints about being AFK in general can be dumped and ignored.

We want what makes a good game. And people ratting without risks is bad for the game.

Afk cloaking isn’t great game play, but it affects a tiny amount of the population compared to wrecking the economy for everyone.

It is the lesser evil.

Despite all the power of afk cloaking, ratters have still broken the economy. So it would have been even worse if afk cloaking wasn’t a thing.

Don’t try to deflect the issue.

There must be risk for null ratters and without afk cloakers there wouldn’t be any. And that is the crux of it. That is the most important part of this whole situation. It is absolutely necessary for null ratters to have risk. Before anything else happens, this must be addressed first.

If you can propose a change for local or otherwise introduce risk for ratters in null sec, cloaks can change. But until then afk cloaking is absolutely necessary.

What part of “AFK” confused you son? The A? The F? Or the K?

What part of “cloaking” confused you son? If you, by your own words, are not discussing a change to cloaking then your terrible ideas belong in some other thread.

Yeah, this thread is specifically about AFK cloaking. Not AFK in general.

You don’t see people crying about the number of AFK people just sitting docked up in Jita. Try to stay on topic.

Well if AFK cloaking isn’t great game play, AND its not preventing risk free ratting from destroying the economy (your claim and not mine), then I have to assume you are for getting rid of both.

So instead of poo pooing my idea made for the sake of the thread purpose, you could 1) open a thread which addresses your ACTUAL issue which is null sec ratting ( I take it) and 2) work with my idea and add to it or 3) come up with your own idea on how to end AFK cloaking. Or are you addicted to being negative?

Remove local.

More ridiculous trolling from the ridiculous troll. Obviously any change designed to thwart AFK cloaking has a strong possiblity to affect either cloaking or AFK in general. Even you are not so thick in the skull to not be able to see it so stop your stupid trolling kid.

There’s nothing wrong with it, so no reason to end it.

I was not talking to you. My suggestion was not for you. It was not about you. Why do you keep replying to things not meant for you as if they were? Do you suffer from so very little sense of worth you need to try and create some?

And? You posted on a public forum, I answered your question. If you don’t want to engage in public discussion then take your private conversation elsewhere.

The point stands: the correct solution to ending AFK cloaking is to remove local.

Are you Daichi Yamamoto? Am I? NO. Tell it to him. That was directed at him and not you. Jesus, what is it with you people?

Then send him a message in game. This is a public forum and if you post, anyone is free to post also.

“come up with your own idea on how to end AFK cloaking.” is not a question. It was a suggestion. And it was not aimed at you.

Do you have anything constructive to offer, such as acknowledging the fact that the solution to AFK cloaking is to remove local, or are you just going to whine about not getting to decide who replies to you?

No they aren’t. Above the moderator posted about constructive posting, after removing off topic posts.

My post was constructive and perfectly within the topic of the thread, so yes, anyone is free to post in the forums and the moderators will moderate anything that isn’t within the rules.

People can post to a public forum. Go figure.

That will cause a cascade of problems so awful it will cause a mass exodus from EVE. It would allow a handful of alliances to control everything worth controlling and medium to small corps would cease to be able to hold on to anything out of high sec. After one giant wave of destruction the stagnation and quitting out of frustration would put EVE six feet under.

Then I guess AFK cloaking isn’t going anywhere.
