But, no change to AFK cloaking is needed to end it. It’s perfectly fine as is. Only botters and AFK ratters care and neither of them deserve any changes to reduce risk.

Your idea still provides the ratter with certainty. So it just doesn’t do the job. But removing local and replacing it with another less perfect form of intel is the best solution.

A lack of local favours smaller fleets. It favours smaller, faster ships. It favours gate travel over cynos. It favours nomadic lifestyles.
There is no situation that a lack of local favours big stationary groups over smaller flexible groups.

In fact, AFK mining has been nerfed hard, and it has been announced that AFK ratting wil be gone too.

Obtaining ISK/resources while AFK =/= sitting idle while AFK.
AFK Gameplay = AFK Gameplay
Who speaks, and who cares of, wealth or resource generation? It´s gameplay.
Any gameplay is for some reason, either producing resources, or wealth, or salt, or lowering indexes as a preparation for an invasion. In the end everything is just “having fun” in our videogame.
But if AFK gameplay is bad, then I think its for everyone. Why smoothing the path to a PVP invasion, through AFK gameplay is good and generating ISK through AFK gameplay is bad?

The changes CCP are making to the game target wealth and resource generation.
They’re not targeting “gameplay” as a broad and nebulous term.
You can try to brush it off as “who cares about wealth generation?”, but that’s a bad argument. Because we can just flip it back on you and say “who cares about salty carebear tears?”

CCP is focusing on an area of the game that has gotten out of control, namely, wealth and resource generation. AFK cloaky camping isn’t an area of the game that has gotten out of control.

Because only EVE’s dumbest and most useless renter alliances allow an AFK player to do anything to them, and we don’t need to grant 100% safety to PvE farmers just because certain renters suck at EVE.

No one is forcing you to repeat yourself but you. And there is no relation to your unconstructive attack on me and your prior posts anyway. You are working against solving your own complaint, which suggests you actually just love to repeat yourself. Unconstructive attacks make it harder to find anything constructive you said.
