Haha, Storm canāt shoot when other player is in the same site. I killed a few who did. Now they all hold their weapons and curse me if I appear and they leave.

Gank or Baited?
Since no Stormbringer shoots when other players are on the site anymore I will share the trick.
I call it forced suspect baiting. You either activate you killright or you steal from wreck about the same time they are about to shoot again, then if you are within 10km of the npcs the Vorton projector automatically hits you since you are suspect and you get limited engagement and can kill attack the storm.

If your safety is set to green, it wonāt hit another player who isnāt suspect or criminal. I do it all the timeā¦

In HS it is possible with a reasonable fit of ~1B + Nirvana Clone (which is pretty safe in HS and many HS players that use expensive shield ships indeed have and use one). You will already get above 200k eHP with that. Dualbox with an Alt in a Nighthawk (that also gets to 300k eHP) and with the fleetboost you already get 275k eHP on the Gila.
Now you can decide: 2 Power Diagnostics in the Lows and you will exceed 300k eHP. Or 2 Damage Mods and you will get around 850 DPS - while having almost 300k eHP. Overheat your Invuls during a gank-attempt or PvP and you will have 340k eHP in the Damage Version and 383k eHP in the ātankyā version.
So, while highly unlikely that you will meet a Gila in this exact setup, it is possible. But nonetheless, we can agree to the point, that the ability of the Gila to fit an insane tank that is a magnitude stronger than that of any other T1/Faction/Pirate cruiser and still having a higher damage potential (raw DPS, application, projection) would justify the term āOPā. At least in my book.

This is 230k EHP.
Add full high-grade Nirvana + 5% shield managment implant and you are at 262k EHP. Overheat any of the hardener and you are above 300k EHP. This has still 770dps without implants for missiles and faction drone amplifier and without augmented drones. If I sacrifice 1 more low slot and put thee faction diagnostic then the EHP reaches 275k cold 370k overheat. But l could as well remove MWD and replace it with another faction large shield. If I do that I get 322k EHP cold and 450k EHP overheat.
And this doesnāt even use abyssal shield extenders lol.

Awesome. Iām just not seeing a reason to nerf the Gila. āBecause its greatā is pretty weak.
And once nerfed there will be another great ship in line. Will they cry for a nerf of that one too? If yes and they get it there will be yet another great ship next in the line. Will they cry for that to be nerfed too? And so onā¦

And thatās unbalanced? TROLOLO a 3b Gila with 1b in implants, not even cap stable with micro, burning modules. Your concept of balance is kinda trash. ZKillboard is full of even more expensive Gila kills on a daily basis, just imagine how ābalancedā it really isā¦
No? Itās more than enough reason if balance is the goal. Nobody says it should be made unusable. Just allow a bit more competition. And before buffin 12 other ships to bring them on comparable power levels to the Gila, which would then again cracks the balance to HACs or T3Cs, it is far easier to cut down one ship a bit instead.
