Piett Weyun for CSM 20-Industry,Security and Community-Vote for the Golden Era of New Eden

:ballot_box_with_ballot: Candidate Statement: A New Voice for New Eden
I’m not a veteran—I’m a new player. And that’s exactly why I’m running.

New doesn’t mean inexperienced. It means fresh perspective, open ears, and real passion for change. I represent the new generation of capsuleers: the builders, dreamers, and explorers who believe New Eden can be better for everyone.

I will listen to all voices—veterans, rookies, industrialists, PvPers, explorers—and bring your ideas forward. Together, we can revitalize EVE’s inflated economy, introduce Faction Warfare-specific materials essential to fleet doctrines, and create fairer opportunities for everyone trying to find their place among the stars.

To my South American and Spanish-speaking pilots: YO ESTOY AQUÍ PARA ESCUCHAR TU VOZ. Your voice matters. Your ideas matter. And together, we’ll build a stronger, more united New Eden.

Vote for a new voice. Vote for a new future. Vote for me.

:pick: Industrial PvE in FW Zones
This is how we build the future—by giving players meaningful roles in the systems they fight for.

Introduce mining and resource ops as PvE content within Faction Warfare systems.

Create opportunities for industrialists and defenders to collaborate—fighting off rats and rival players.

Mirror this system in highsec with lower rewards, while making lowsec the high-risk, high-reward frontier.

Right now, highsec industrialists have little reason to venture into lower security zones. Their only real threat is gankers, and their gameplay loop is isolated from the broader conflict of New Eden.

This system would change that—by rewarding players with the mine-rock attitude to boldly fly into hunting grounds filled with vicious, war-bound ships, and by giving PvP players a reason to protect and encourage these PvEers in contested zones.

Higher-value ships with larger capacity and better gear will achieve their goals faster.

This creates churn—movement, risk, and interaction—but also massive benefits for all involved.

PvEers would no longer be accidental participants in PvP—they’d be active contributors to the war effort.

This system promotes PvP through PvE, creating a living battlefield where every miner, hauler, and defender matters.

Faction Warfare becomes not just a battleground—but a resource economy, a strategic supply chain, and a community of purpose.

:rocket: Lowsec Revitalization
Lowsec isn’t broken—it’s underused. It’s the wild edge of civilization, the place where risk should breed reward, and where new stories should be written every day.

:pirate_flag: Nullsec is not the frontier—it’s the fortress
Dominated by entrenched power blocs.

Protected by jump bridges, cyno jammers, and intel networks.

Churn exists, but outcomes don’t change—the same empires, the same doctrines.

:milky_way: Lowsec is no man’s land—and that’s where EVE should thrive
Unclaimed systems, unpredictable encounters.

No sovereignty mechanics, no asset safety.

A place where small corps, solo pilots, and FW militias can shape the grid.

:fire: Why Lowsec Deserves the Spotlight
It’s the only space where PvP is organic.

No structure timers, no blue donut politics.

Just ships, plexes, and the will to fight.

FW-driven logistics.

It’s where new players can matter:

No need for sov mechanics or capital fleets.

Just commitment, creativity, and courage.

I plan on working together with the player base of high sec, low sec and wormhole space to futher understand theirs needs and wants while also probing the idea of better ways to encgourage freethought about CSM reform, market reforms, tax reforms and the pontetial possibilites of advocating for a better way to inject money into the ecconomy and more importantly the new player base via higher payouts for missions so that they feel like their time is well spent!!! REFORM is scary but that doesnt mean that it should be taboo and not talked about.. especially when pertaining to the CSM, which for the better part of a decade has been block booked by NullSec in there attempt to dictate the direction of the game, while players from high sec, low sec and wormhole space feel disenfranchised and their opinions disregarded. its my firm belief that if the council prides its self on being democratic, then there should be equal opportunity for all and equal opportunity for all to have representation at the top. we cannot continue to have the majority of the council be blocked by the special interest and lobbying groups from null sec. i expect fierce pushback, i expect to not be well-liked for my views but that i why i am doing it!! im here to take the flak for youre view!! this youre mountain and i will die fighting on it!!

My Platform
Faction Warfare Access for All
Allow individual players to opt into Faction Warfare, not just corporations.

Enable industrialists and low-skill characters to participate in FW PvP without risking their highsec corp affiliations.

Expand the player base by lowering barriers to entry.

:hammer_and_wrench: FW Industry as Strategic Backbone
Make FW industrial PvE the source of strategic materials like Spectral Serum.

Reward participation with LP, charters, and access to Phantom tech.

Create a living economy where FW zones fuel both PvE and PvP.

CSM REFORM!!

ECONOMY REFORM!!

TAX REFORM!!!

THERE CAN BE NO TAXATION WITHOUT EQUAL REPRESENTATION!!

My story- my story is not fueled by long stories of great accomplishments in the game, nor is it littered with galavanting stories of a captivating kill list. But my story stems from humbleness and humility, from the humbleness of a venture pilot. turned to industrialization and stepping into the stars. I’m here to learn more about the community and all of the players, all their opinions, and give them not a platform but a bullhorn to voice their thoughts, frustrations, and ideas!! Together we will rebuild New Eden, together we will bring forth a new Golden Era of New Eden.

A vote for Piett Weyun is a Vote for your future

Very intriguing propositions.

If CCP likes your ideas - it could be serious for your campaign.

I have not seen a CSM run on such strong mechanics.

Not at all just ideas that have been thought out by friends who I watched play the game when I was younger and unable to play the game due to techinical limitations. Like I said in my story none of me is a veteran. I am simply putting forward a new idea that I think would be cool for the game, a game which has a fraction of the player base that it did a long time ago. I’m a new player, not experienced but with guidance from the community such as yourself I could potentially be a good candidate for the csm. The toughest critiques are the closest advisors. I thing that low sec is dead while 0.0 is controlled by the bigger corps. Their fortress has become their playground meanwhile any industrialist players in high sec have to compete with hordes of Rss coming from nullsec. All I want to try to do is make it so the new player has a fighting chance, and a reason to keep playing the game..instead of further dwindling the player count. Maybe the council could use a new face, instead of the same people who have sat on the council for the last couple of years. Even if you don’t vote for me, be sure to vote!

Thank you for you’re feed back it’s greatly appreciated.

AI garbage post. Why are CCP letting these people waste people’s time?

The way I speak is not ai and mighty rude of you to instigate such a belief. Feel free to attack me on my platform and not these pointless attacks claiming that I’m AI, don’t forget to vote on 27th-10. A vote for me is a vote for the little guy!! Together we can take the power away from nullsec and bring back to high sec!!

Vote for Piett Weyun for a brighter tomorrow!!

Thank you for you’re feed back it’s greatly appreciated.

Man, people aren’t mad that you got help polishing your words. They’re mad that you let AI basically do the whole thing and then tried to pass it off like it came straight from you. The entire post reads like something straight out of ChatGPT. It’s got every tell in the book.

Every paragraph follows a clean rhythm and format. You’ve got those little section headers that all start with emojis, which is a classic GPT formatting trick used to make text look “organized” for Reddit, Discord, or other social media posts. Then there’s the writing. It’s that overly balanced cadence that AI spits out when you tell it to “write a campaign speech.” And to top it off, you used em dashes everywhere, spaced perfectly, just like the model’s default punctuation style.

Then you show up here in the replies, and suddenly you sound completely different. You misspell words, you ramble, you double up on punctuation, you sound like a real person actually trying to explain themselves. That’s completely gives yourself away, the contrast is massive.

Nobody’s buying that the same guy who writes, “Together we can build a stronger, more united New Eden,” also types “Thank you for you’re feed back.” One’s a marketing brochure, the other’s human.

If those ideas started as yours, cool, but you handed the wheel to a machine. The community doesn’t want a CSM candidate who lets AI write his platform and make all of his ideas for him. They want someone who can actually think and write for themselves. If you’d just owned it and said, “Yeah, I used ChatGPT to help word it better,” people probably would’ve shrugged and moved on. But pretending it’s all you while every line screams fake, is what really is telling about you as a “candidate.”

Ai did not write it, it nearly helped me format it in a way that I know I couldn’t do, otherwise you would of gotten one massive run on sentence and I know we both know that nobody wants to read that. Look the ideas while I think border on the line of impossible to implement are cool idea none the less, they are also there to captivate anyone reading it. It’s meant to welcome discussion not to welcome the echo chamber of it being formatted by ai.

My platform looks to do three main things

  1. Lower the voting capital of the nullsec& the mega corps/alliances that control it!
  2. Revitalize the eve player base by advocating for more content to be focused on high to low sec be it be more faction warfare or better PVE
  3. And last but not least try to revive the same spirt eve online had in 2013 when the player count was 65000. Advocating for change and drastic measures so that in the next 5-7 years we don’t see player base dwindle any lower then what it is now…28k on a good day
My platform is crazy I know that, you’re friends will say that it’s ai generated but I disagree it’s not ai generated! What it is, an act of desperation and rebelión!! It’s a wild card that everyone knows will never happen but it’s used to grab your attention!! My platform is not to be used as an echo chamber for the big influencer of the mega corps but as a loud and boisterous group of defiance!! My platform is meant to to give the little guy the starting player a bullhorn to voice their options, the frustrations and there concerns about the game that we all love playing. I’m here today to not go with the grain, but instead go against it and give the little guy the power they need and the power they deserve!! Industrialist, gankers, explorer’s & loot goblins!!

At the end of it all win or lose I just want to have fun and help give new players a voice to, let the big dogs pound their chest, we all know they control things in new eden…but maybe…just maybe the little guy could make a difference

How are you going to sit here and lie to us that it’s not a ChatGPT generated post? Your replies are clearly written by you, with the amount of spelling and grammatical errors being akin to a 6th grader. Meanwhile, your initial post literally reads like a textbook.

  • It has the GPT em dashes

  • It has the GPT Emojis

  • It has the GPT syntax

I literally plugged in what you wrote into 3 AI’s, and every single one said that it was written by AI. No one wants your slop in the community. If you don’t like people voicing their issues with it, don’t post. Why would people want to vote for a CSM who can’t even own up to something as simple as this? Complete hack.

Good plug it in!! Plug it into anything you like no longer care!! If you don’t like what I have to say then simply don’t vote for it and vote for the next cookie cutter mega corp from nullsec, clearly you’ve already made up you’re mind as for who you’re voting for? Yes ai formatted it, yes I wrote it who the hell cares??? Saying “muh he formatted it with ai” is akin to crying about he wrote it in Microsoft word and not pen and paper. We live in the 21st century ai is as much apart of our daily lives as the air we breath and water we drink. If you want to live in the archaic past go ahead, but I strive to the brighter future.

Absolutely not the same. You using MS Word to write isn’t akin to using a LLM to literally create your ideas and talking points for you, what a failure in logic. No one is going to vote for a guy who admitted, AFTER denying it three separate times, that they can’t think for themselves and need daddy GPT to think for them. A liar AND a hack, get real buddy.

how would i know, I AM A NOOB, i outlined that in my story very clearly!! you people enjoy engaging, if you actually cared and didnt share a single brain cell between the lot of you. you would talk about the ideas instead of “ BuT MuH CaNdIdAtE uSeD gPt” youre more concerened about a noob helping formulate his ideas with the BIGGEST AND MOST USED PROGRAM ON THE PLANET. meanwhile completly disregarding the actual platform. look i know how to read fear on people and you people are clearly afraid that CSM would pull the carpet out from underneath from you. i am a noob who is going up against the tyranical titans that are all of you who hide and gatekeep in youre Iron clad fortresses. but just know that one day someone who is “VETERAN” will pick up the same idea and finally deal the death blow to you clowns. you are so arrogant and ignorant to the fact that the CSM being blocked by pue nullsec players is ruining the game but hey what do i care.. its just a video game and in 5-7 years the game will finally be dead at the current rate of player count loss. so go ahead focus on the fact that i used gpt to help me, i suppose that NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU ANTI AI SAINT HAS EVER EVEN TOUCHED AI right??? the day will come when the nullsec mafia is finally destroyed and when it does ill be there to gloat. so enjoy it while you can

You’re just deflecting and raging in the comments now. The whole issue that I found with it, and why I bothered to post in the first place, was because you were calling other people liars when you clearly were using GPT. Like I said initially, if you had the ideas first - cool.

You handed your ideas over to an AI though and then clearly didn’t even bother to proofread it. Then, you went and tried to make people out for fools by saying “Not at all,” and “The way I speak is not ai and mighty rude of you to instigate such a belief.” You’re now trying to backpedal by lashing out at the very community you are proposing to serve, doubling down and saying that we’re stupid, when in reality, we just don’t want to vote for a guy who can’t think for himself. Sounds to me like you’re the one lacking brain cells.

So in terms of being a noob this is great, new ideas are amazing and looking at things from a fresh perspective is always a helpful view point to take.

However, with the AI thing for example you seem to want to “speak for all” but don’t want to accept, comment on criticism from any, which comes as part of the territory of being on the CSM. A good example was on the Eve-O discord arguing about tax there were people there trying to understand and your view was just “I don’t care” or “you are wrong”.

Truth be told I don’t care whether you used AI to polish words/grammar as long as they are actually your ideas, which is where formulation vs cleaning up as very different. People (I don’t think) are outright disregarding your platform, however your response to criticism of the usage of said tools is part of your platform because its how you engage with those around you.

In terms of the current makeup of the CSM some of the people you are arguing with Itear for example is probably one of the most against the status quo candidates there are and you are adding him to the “status quo” because he is challenging you.

“you are so arrogant and ignorant to the fact that the CSM being blocked by pure nullsec players is ruining the game but hey what do i care” is it? Whats you validation of the CSM being blocked, are you in the room, do you know what the NS CSM say? can you attest to what they say rather then repeating the reddit hyperbole.

TLDR: I don’t think anyone is saying your bad or don’t have the interests of game at heart, however the way you are engaging in your thread or other comms platforms indicates that you want to criticise others without internal self-reflection around how you engage with them. Noting that the CSM have to work as a group for the better of the game rather then argue with each other.

Brilliantly said.

Just wondering how a guy who played EVE for a year and has so much interesting ideas wasn’t on a killboard ? Anyway, I fixed this little mistake, so now you can add a bit more info about your personality to the starting post.

Faction Warfare Access for All
Allow individual players to opt into Faction Warfare, not just corporations.

This is just direct enlistment, a system that has been in the game since the Uprising Expansion 3 years ago

Enable industrialists and low-skill characters to participate in FW PvP without risking their highsec corp affiliations.

CSM REFORM!

ECONOMY REFORM!

TAX REFORM!!!

THERE CAN BE NO TAXATION WITHOUT EQUAL REPRESENTATION!!

Care to explain what any of this actually means?
What taxation are you talking about, what CSM reforms?

PvEers would no longer be accidental participants in PvP—they’d be active contributors to the war effort.

PvE’ers, in this case you are talking about industrialists, have been active contributors in all war efforts since the start of eve, people need ships to fight with.

New doesn’t mean inexperienced. It means fresh perspective, open ears, and real passion for change

Considering the fact you seem ignorant to systems that are currently in the game that you are wanting changes to, and the fact that your responses here and in discord show you definitely are not a set of open ears to people. I think in this case new does in fact mean inexperienced and nothing else.

To my South American and Spanish-speaking pilots: YO ESTOY AQUÍ PARA ESCUCHAR TU VOZ. Your voice matters. Your ideas matter. And together, we’ll build a stronger, more united New Eden.

And what the hell is this? You just throw in an ALL CAPS google translated I’m here to listen to your voice and then don’t touch on this community again, you aren’t talking about improving localization or making better resources for non-english speaking players. So what are you actually offering here?
