Returning player quitting again after 2 days

Die Habgier - “the greed” …your name fits you well, friend.

OK, sorry if I misunderstood it. I thought you basically had to decide to join one of these factions, joining Trig would make Highsec more dangerous to traverse, most of it happens in Lowsec, and you’d be fighting other players in order to capture systems for one of the two.
(That’s what I presumed after getting ingame warnings at highsec gates about Edencom-secured systems, and hearing how Goons or someone helped Triglavians conquer Niarja.)

 TY.
(I’m just another toon’s badly equipped PI alt though; didn’t want to have my main shot because someone felt offended by my posting here

Uh, sure, right, someone owes you PLEX because you are bad at EVE and would rather quit than even attempt to do anything. Not going to happen.

CCP seem to have decided that mission running carebears do not count

Because you don’t. You add nothing to the game, you’re just a cash cow that CCP is milking for $15/month because you’re dumb enough to keep playing a really bad single-player game when better alternatives are available.

I completely agree with everything you have stated.

Any chance, however, you would kindly extract your skills if I provided the extractors?

I will take your experience you have presented before us and use it to bring justice to those who brought you to this precipice.

Your fellow PVEer,

Wow …
… hey, what did you touch to make it grow like this??

There’s this false perspective in the words “allowed to play the way I want”. Although anyone who has stomached these forums for long enough already knows that words and explanations don’t really matter when emotions are rampant I’ll just try to sketch the correct perspective.

You can do anything you want, the way you want it, at any time, any place, and create your fun.

You cannot pretend to be all alone, this is an MMO, and an open pvp one.

You have every opportunity to try to avoid pvp. That is done via knowledge of mechanics, and the hunters’ tactics. You can even become extremely good at avoiding pvp, know which safety measures to take, gather intel, etc.

Making fully deserved fun of players who don’t accept the realities of EvE, or who don’t see their own, obvious mistakes, even after years of playing, can get your posts removed or worse. Shouting at players on forums about their way of playing, in this case pvp, and calling them names is apparently tolerated, although hardly constructive.

a) the loudest part of the community (your words) do not scream about someone having fun without pvp, but about people claiming the right to immunity from pvp

b) already done my share in the new Halloween content, never saw a ganker, rabid or not. Perhaps you should move to calmer waters and try it out

c) most edencom/triglavian content didn’t involve pvp whatsoever, except in lowsec and Niarja of course.

I wish it were just one command, but if that’s possible I don’t know how

The annoying part isn’t losing your ship. It’s how long it takes to buy a new one and get it fitted. Especially if you’re far from Jita.

You should come down to Ronne and see the growing market there
Even better, you can sell your stuff there at well over Jita value too!

To add a differing opinion, I came back to eve after a HUGE break, I felt like a total newb.
Barely know wt(bleep) I’m doing.
So far I
a) left anything valuable in a hanger (not that I have much)
b) joined eve uni to reaquint myself
c) started learning
d) went to nullsec
e)had a couple of fun fights in cheap ships
(edit) e2) Died

and I’m having a BLAST.
Here’s to another decade of Eve!!!

Wrong.

They count as much as any other player, regardless of what they do or do not “add to the game”. It’s likely they DO add something to the game in the form of buying ammo, drones, ships, and modules. In addition, they may “add to the game” by selling loot and salvage, or by selling minerals reprocced from loot.

No they don’t. Only players who add content to the game matter from the point of view of other players. I’m sure CCP is happy to take their $15/month but that’s all they contribute.

It’s likely they DO add something to the game in the form of buying ammo, drones, ships, and modules. In addition, they may “add to the game” by selling loot and salvage, or by selling minerals reprocced from loot.

People like this are almost always net producers, with any consumption massively outweighed by the stuff they dump on the market. Their “contribution” drives down prices for other industry players and pushes those content creators out of the market, making them a net loss for the game.

Seems you forgot the 1st rule of Eve after your break.
You also seem to have forgotten that the forum thrives on tears.
The last part is just salt and spite.
Seems Eve is not for you but many of us love it.
That’s fine so good-luck and good-bye.

Priceless

Depends. I read that as skills, like the ones you only learn by playing, not SP. I guess someone would be willing to take your money to tech you PVP…

For those who don’t know, like myself:
