You mean, besides ganking?
Ganking can fail, failed ganks still cost ISK. Therefore ganking has risk.
Practicing on the test server costs nothing if you lose.
I know you don’t believe that, but that’s never stopped you before.
What happened to the childish reaction you had before?
Did someone report it for spam or did you realize yourself emoticon spam was immature? I was tempted to do the former myself.
Either way I have given a very simple solid argument why I think ganking has a risk and have not yet seen you even try to refute it.
Your friends removed it.
So if I read the linked chatgpt post correctly ganking ‘has no risk’ because gankers manage their risk well by using cheap and easily replacable ships?
You forgot to mention the risk of running into negative profits upon failing ganks by the way.
But even if ganking were to have low risk, how is that risk as low as trying things on the test server where there is zero risk of losing value?
I stand by what I said before, practicing on the test server is the most risk-averse a player can be.
That’s because its probably not involving a playstyle that you’re involved in. In the past, I used to gather information on blueprints to identify the skills required, build requirements and of course the cost of the bpo’s and I wasn’t the only one doing it. In addition to this, people also identified changes made that CCP never reported like for example how certain T1 bpo’s were made into T2 bpo’s which allowed some people to take advantage of that and then there is their sneaky nerfs that were never mentioned in the update notes.
That basically allowed people to adjust market prices on materials and stock up in preparation for the release of the update with those changes so that they could make a decent profit and was always seen as a good time to make some nice isk.
