The end of CO2?

This statement is actually quite troubling. You are convinced that this discussion is all some elaborate ruse for me to gain some sort of in-game advantage. You THINK that we are playing EVE Online and you THINK that the person speaking to you on this forum IS Mayhaw Morgan simply angling to win at internet spaceships. You have fused your “real” identity with your “game” identity and you are assuming that everyone does that.

I am not trying to take away your right to blow up spaceships while pretending to be “bad”. What I am saying is that some people are psychologically damaged and they are using the game as a way of forcing others to conform to their own dysfunctional paradigm. And, a “normal” person, subjected to such a process, is likely to lash out in anti-social ways, like maybe by threatening the individual committing the harm or even threatening those around that individual.

Furthermore, taking away a victim’s outlet of expression (the game, in this instance), might actually exacerbate the harm.

I could be wrong. I may even be the one suffering from a paranoid delusion . . . but you should take a minute or two AWAY from the game and just think about what I’m saying. Please.

The CSM members intends onsite in Iceland to meet with CCP. CCP has financial assistance with the cost of flights, lodging and transfers intending those meetings. The two parties involved with collusion was paid by CCP.

You’re funny. I am but a simple man, playing a spaceship game.

I mean that’s a stretch, but if you want to drink that koolaid… that’s fine.

As if anyone who is looking at game balance cares what the ‘Community Manager’ thinks about it, but CCP Fozzie is another matter.

The issue is that being able to switch a staging Keepstar like that is not good game balance and it is something that CCP need to look at and perhaps adjust some of the granular control to give more protection on in terms of such a key strategic location.

This is actually what is going on with most of these posters, you just won the Eve forums. Keep posting because I am enjoying seeing you show them that they are unable to separate their in game persona’s from their RL persona’s like most people and in fact project that on to others.

As an interested observer and recently returned player I popped in here as I thought I might learn the fate of CO2 going forward. Would be great to see in game consequences for Judge from a drama/metagame perspective. You might say its none of my business, but if this had been kept in game, and if no one had been banned, the betrayal and theft would I assume have led to in game retribution and vengeance and loads of content (and drama).

But it was not kept in game. Which is a shame for everyone, even people like myself who have no horse in the race and are just nosy, and especially CCPs marketing department. Many people, I am sure, would wish for a different result without wanting to undo the theft itself which, as has been observed by many including CCP staff, is perfectly valid gameplay. As for this thread…

I don’t understand why someone is quoting Zizek and why we are discussing reality and doing amateur psychology
key distinction for adults playing games - in game/out of game- concepts like reality not so much use
kick over table, we cant play anymore
not judging, sad for everyone, but don’t understand what this thread is about now can someone explain?

I wonder why other groups haven’t lost their staging Keepstars or Fortizars? Just because something has a big ripple effect in-game doesn’t mean it’s bad… In fact, that’s how CCP designed the sandbox. Player actions matter.

Tell that to CO2.

I am pretty sure they know this. It’s an intended part of the game. That’s a part of Nullsec.

Not really…

Your love in with CCP Falcon means nothing he is the community manager.

So, you say @CCP_Falcon 's words should just be disregarded, because he is only the “Community Manager” ?
So @CCP_Falcon, despite being Community Manager, does not speak for the whole company?

Okay! I’m so glad that this forum has bookmarks, it’s one of the best features ever.

Player actions do matter. A single players action has just effected thousands of players. Gigx is also a good example of this: an alliance leader gets himself permabanned and his alliance falls apart, effecting thousands of players.

That also very literally the first time I’ve communicated with CCP Falcon. I just wanted his opinion on how all the crybabies have been acting. He gave the response that I assumed a CCP employee would give. I would have enjoyed him saying “HTFU”, but I will settle for his neutral opinion and a clear statement that nothing wrong happened.

He is only the community manager, other people look after game balance, next thing you will tell me he looks after graphic design, sigh…

So you admit you’re saying that the Community Manager does not officially represent the company, and that his words should be disregarded.

Okay.

Well he effectively did!

Still as I pointed out he looks after community relations, the website, the real issue around game balance in terms of this event will be looked at by other people, which is why I don’t care what he thinks in terms of this.

That is what you are saying not me!

I would imagine that as a community manager, he’s qualified to speak on CCPs behalf? I mean he has before… He did it when there was an uproar about Erotica1 being banned. I guess it’s only when he says something that you agree with is he then a credible source.

Yeah it’s definitely not like the entire office at CCP wasn’t buzzing with what took place on Monday. Nah, surely none of them discussed it. Yeah you’re probably right. His statement doesn’t matter.
