Yeah, people were doing this using the test server. That style of play was not what CCP intended when they created Eve.
Again, Eve isn’t the game for you. Go play ED… it fits you.
This isn’t the first time someone suggested this idea… and I’m sure this will get the same treatment that every other person that suggested it has gotten. (Hint: you’re not going to like it)
The person clearly wrote that he does not like this game - that it is online, he wants a single player game. What is there to discuss?
What I don’t like is the dumb job-like applications to join a corp and the also dumb requirements to be always on comms and in fleet, along with the fact that to play where I want, I am forced to join corps/alliances.
I love all the rest, including the MMO aspect of it.
This is just a game, wake up.
And if I find an alliance that’s chill and treats the game as a game, their space sucks lol.
There is no hope. CCP knows the crazies who treat EvE as real life are the ones keeping this boat afloat. They know there’s a ton of people who wish they could enjoy the game in different ways, but unfortunately it’s not the majority so they can’t do anything about. I get it.

When you have a game 20 some years old, and there are countless stories written about espionage, and spies, and takeovers, you want some protection in place
So goons, horde, test, etc. They dont want riff raffs joining.
Requirements for coms and what not yea thats a lil too much. Dealt with that before when i was apart of INIT.
I’ve been there and done that, been on and off since 2009. I just don’t have the patience for any of the alliance politics BS anymore.

I can explain it to you. Because they don’t do the things required to keep their space secure. Like trying to keep spies out… and having people on comms and in fleets so they can organize to defend each other and their space.
If you want good space, you have to put forth effort to have good space. Again, Eve is a game that rewards effort.
And if its just a game, you shouldn’t care if the space is ‘good’ or not. Sounds like you’re taking the game too seriously…
And so, given that there is no solution, I don’t play.

ive played it solo since leaving null a good few years and its perfectly playable just everything takes a lot longer. you are either being too impatient or you are one of those players who thinks it should all be given to you ona plate because you pay for the game
Nah sorry, comprehend fine. You just made a very ill-structured little whinge-post, so you got an ill-structured reply.
You didn’t mention what it is you like that “requires” null sov. So nobody can suggest any alternatives. Although it’s entirely likely you just mean “I want the highest possible farm payout but I don’t want to deal with the consequences of farm-space”.
You didn’t mention the many corps that don’t have “dumb” requirements - possibly because you lack the initiative to find them. You didn’t mention why NPC null can’t work; again you likely just don’t want to put in any effort.
You also apparently missed the whole “start your own corp, run it any way you like” point. But that’s obvious why it won’t work - you’d have to interrupt your farming and do something.
Fact is, your post reads like “I joined a null corp for the farming, but then they kicked me out because I do nothing but farm and never contribute to the corp in any way. So I hate null corps, they’re all dumb!”
If you didn’t post like a disgruntled 12-year-old, you’d likely get better answers.
All of this, still a ‘you’ problem. If you suck, you can’t play games that require you to not suck.
