Most of it is inaccessible, some of the mines extend out 2+ kilometres at a depth of 700 metres under the seabed, keeping them dry and workable has become uneconomical in the face of places like China that may not have as much, but they can get to it a lot easier.
There is talk of reopening some of the mines, some of the newer tech that’s now available may make it a profitable venture again.
Bear in mind that those mines were mostly dug by hand too, an amazing achievement in anybody’s book.
You have it all wrong, @Naari_Naarian doesn’t have any kind of negative reputation, he’s a shining example to us all who spends his time trying to improve the game for new players. He told me so in another thread.
That it’ll remove the fun in hisec for everybody, including the new players he likes to hit up for billions of isk, is utterly irrelevant to him, it’s what he wants.
Actually, Im attempting to correct an issue that iv noticed, in an effort to bring about more meaningful and productive conversation.
What is interesting is that if this was to take place we’d be able to tell ccp collectively what we have agreed upon and its a lot more influential for the majority or all the players saying the same thing, then just one or two.
Get use to the idea of complexity going out of the game, ccp is saying they are looking for ways to remove it. Its been to high for to long, your beating up a bush that has no real future anymore.
either get with the program and help change it in a way that betters both you and those who are unable or unwilling to commit to the high complexity levels, or suffer the consequences of what is to come.
'twas a deliberate move to confuddle anyone that was quick off the mark
Especially the person it was aimed at as they’re rather fond of word games and logical fallacies; he’s crap at the former and the latter seems to be his natural state of being.
When it is in the wrong place yes, but they also specifically said that complexity is not bad and they don’t want to remove complexity just because it is complexity.
What he said, specified and meant is the NPE being a fricking mess with all kinds of issues and unintended problems that make life unnecessarily difficult for a new player in his first hours or days.
