I have not followed closely this thread, it is too active to do so, but I wanted to give my input in as far as compensation goes.

I have zero interest in skill point compensation, I have enough SP and am actually sitting on several million free SP on several toons as it is. At least for my situation skill training was never interrupted or a problem. What I am interested in is game time. We are going on multiple weeks of unreliable connectivity which has, as was often said in jest in the past, made the game “literally unplayable”. What I would like to see happen is to have that lost game time added to accounts that were active as omega during this time. I don’t care if it is done via plex handouts, or just updating the accounts to have 2-3+ weeks of game time, whatever the total loss ends up being for this outage. I understand we are not by EULA entitled to anything, but I do think this would be the right thing to do, at the absolute least.

In short, I’m looking for game time compensation, not SP.

I have zero interest in omega time compensation, I have enough omega time and am actually sitting on yearly subscription on three accounts as it is. At least for my situation ISK gain was massively interrupted . What I am interested in is ISK. :stuck_out_tongue:

Indeed, I realize people’s situations are different, I just wanted to share mine. Hopefully CCP can and will come up with a way, as they’ve eluded to, to make fair compensation for everyone’s situation. :smiley:

To be honest, SP makes the most sense from a business standpoint. It is the least likely to interrupt their cash flow.

Respectfully, I don’t care about their cash flow in this case, I care about what I, their customer, has lost out on due to this problem. I have not lost out on SP, I have lost out on game time I ultimately paid for.

Personally speaking, doing constructive things with the game was the only thing that needed focusing on and you guys have been doing so.
If compo turns up cool, if not idc. The game > shiny things.

OMG you are such a shame to eve community in the game and on the forum as well. I don’t know, you are crazy or just plain stupid.

After today’s patch I would side with whomever is doing the DDOS.

Ngl, with these dots and the breaking of item stacking, aside from the “shortage phase” nonsense ofc… I wouldn’t go as far as siding with the idiots behind the problems, but I can kind of understand the sentiment…

Romania, Sibiu been 4 or 5 days ? since it started working fine again, chat issues gone since the last 3 days, only once I had to reconnect to get it working.
There was a new issue that lasted for about 10 minutes or so , as in chat/dscan dissapearing completely and game freezes , 1 fps stutters , had to re-login several times , that only happened once ,fortunately.

want to know how CCP fixes DDoS?

And before all you Anti-Carebears start jumping for joy how do you think you get your PVP ships and ammo? This causes PVP prices to increase. It will effect everyone.

There is nothing that is increased other then bistot in low. Everything else is lowered.

by its very nature DDoS are peripheral (that’s where the first “D”… for distributed… comes in).
The information you are asking for is exactly the information the attackers want to continue/improve their attacks.

Thus, “boiler-plate” statements are the safest statements to make.

The reactions you (and many others) stress on this forum are exactly what the attackers are relying on to force CCP to do whatever the attackers want to stop the attacks.

I (for one) want CCP (and their un-named partners) to stop the attacks by finding the attackers and put them out of business.
Succumbing to the attackers’ demands is exactly the WRONG thing to do.
That would be admitting defeat and wouldn’t stop the attackers from doing this again.

CCP, you make mass changes to gameplay, but still cannot sort this ■■■■ on the servers. Please fix one problem before pissing off player. Think you did enough off that the last month

Connections to chat server lost at 18:07:43 eve time. All but rookie help are gone (Feb 11th).

Many of those who have gotten reimbursement tickets have gotten Omega per delays in ticket reprocessing. I know that is standard procedure for normal circumstances, but these circumstances are hardly normal. If the community is compensated as a whole, are these people going to end up having extra Omega just because they filed tickets and the rest of us didn’t? I don’t think that is fair. It almost makes me want to fly blingy ship without VPN in hopes of getting the inevitable DC, then I can file a ticket, hope it takes forever to get resolved, and get free Omega proportional to the time it took to address the ticket. Not that I’m going to do that, but you get the point.
