Checkout the top right, double border makes it really hard to read the title of the UI, also I’ve never seen these squiggly lines in Project Discovery, is this related or just something else idk.

I hope you are communicating heavily with the CSM.
A new UI is less needed then a new vanilla Overview Setting.
Make sure the new UI supports fully transparent windows with brackets visible through them aswell, as a long term player this is a very important PvP feature on smaller screens.
Also please unify the closing button. It should always be in the top right, even at fullscreen (refering to the skill window).
I still don’t get why both the skill window and Agency have these unique windows, they can’t even be merged with other windows, because of this my expectations are limited. Hopefully the new UI updates will be more pleasent.
Really looking forward to a UI overhaul as well as the new feature opt-in program.
I’m REALLY hoping that a UI overhaul includes some changes to text, especially changes to in-game mail systems allowing for more… readable… content. I’ve always found it ironic that a game known as spreadsheets in space can’t even include a simple table in their in-game mail system.
Suggestion, while in your “Personal Assets” and going to the “Search” tab, the game immediatly start searching for whatever. If you have some assets after a while playing this locks up the game client for a few seconds (depending how many assets you have). While you are docked that potentially is not an issue, however if you are in space the can become a problem as your client doesn’t respond to any input.
So the suggestion is to not load anything (inventory wise) instead wait until the “Search” button is actually clicked.

Oh i have 1080’s but i also don’t use max resolution with Eve because of my setup with Eve o Preview. 5 toons listed on the left side still gives more than 720 but I’m thinking about people with smaller monitors. also i only recently upgraded to both 1080’s had 1 1080 1 720 before my old 720 was a ■■■■■ to use any new window. (Agency and such)
We shouldn’t be enforcing window sizes… period… its annoying and dumb. the only window I gave a pass to is Fitting because that is legit hard to make resizable from a programing perspective (from my understanding a lot of scaling icon stuff nvm every icon in the game) The Agency and skill windows are GIGANTIC for what they are. I’m not even looking at the empty unused space or huge box’s space just the windows are locked at 720 near size.
I quite like the new interface. Still needs some work to make it a bit more compact, but I think it is heading in the right direction. I would like a few more colour schemes, or the ability to choose custom colours though
I also like the ability to opt in to testing some features. It will be interesting to see what we have available to test in the future.
You can’t design a UI to look good at 720p that also works at 4k. Not with all the moving parts that the EVE UI has. Not that they can’t do better, but they also have to design for the majority of their players not the outliers with obsolete equipment or the newest 16k screens, just like they can’t support graphics cards from 20 years ago because of the 3 people that want to play EVE on them.
I do recognize the fact that there are a number of players that multi-box with multiple characters on a single screen which effectively reduces the resolution for each client, but, again, they have to design with the majority of the player base in mind.
You didnt see it? I tried it on SISI and there was this tiny film grain effect in windows that are transparent.

Transparent windows, I prefer to see the window contents, not simulate glass.
Looks terrible on a 1080p monitor. Everything is so much bigger and makes it so much harder to fit everything on screen. I hate it so much.
double clicking the header bar of a window now leaves a really fat bar, it was much nicer slim.
why are you so obsessed with removing screen space?
I like the idea however, who would have thought the concept of “improving consistency” was simply to take the two varieties we presently have and add a third…
Perhaps they can add a Ribbon button bar to make finding options easier and move away from right click on everything.
New UI should be more compact. This is a very UI heavy game so the windows should be information rich even at smaller sizes. In new UI in sisi every window shows drastically less information because of so much empty space and increased font sizes.
Examples with small and identical window sizes:
- Current UI saved locations window has 4 bookmarks visible, new UI has 2.
- Current UI people & places location tab has 9 lines of content, new UI has 3.
- Current UI fleet formations tab has every option visible, in new UI the formation size is not visible at all.
- Current UI fleet broadcast history tab has 5 broadcasts visible, new UI has 2.
Also right click menus become too big in space since every line now has reserved space for warning symbols, when they are only used in few cases. Current UI fits the warnings a lot better.
So, OP windows, like Local?
This is horrible. You don’t see anything anymore. I didn’t even see that you had the Personal Assets and Probe Scanner windows open until I looked at your Old screenshot. Are these the same transparency settings? And the huge tabs allow even fewer tabs to be seen completely in a given (aka current TQ) stack width.

I really really like and wana fully support this new feedback process, so as a result, as I just did the forum faux pas of “this is crap” I am trying to think of a solution, or idea that would alleviate/provide positive feedback as that’s the normal way to do things, but I cant at present so I’ll have to go away and have a think, then get back to you.
