any other game besides EVE, since i can’t play the game without getting socket closed.
The latest patch really kinda messed up Darkest Dungeon, they completely flipped the whole meta of combat with one patch that touched almost every aspect of the game. Pretty bad move to make so much changes in one go.
Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun The “Shadow” part of the name makes it sound like it’s an RPG, but it’s not. It’s a turn-based wargame. Somehow it manages to get the feel of what you’d imagine feudal Japan battles would be like. They start out well-ordered, soon turn deadly violent, and devolve into vicious mobile chaos.
Have a bit of an eclectic games library but out of them apart from EVE mostly play:
iRacing Basically a car racing sim that has a bunch of real life tracks and cars with sanctioned, league or private racing.
Combat Flight Simulator 3 Older flight sim but still fun to play every now and then, have the firepower add-on among others to add some extra graphics. Keeping to flight sims also play DCS as well as Microsoft Flight Sim X with rex, gex and orbx addons to spice it up.
Couple others depending on mood are World of Warships, GTA series or Red Dead from Rockstar, Total War (mostly Shogun and Napoleon).
Seen some games posted here by others that look interesting so will have to try them out.

I got the Doom modding bug again.
Funny part is this 25 year old modded to hell game is still way more fun and better than most of the garbage that’s produced today.

Turned out it was the wrong version, I need the Empire Divided CD and key, which , I misread as, any expansion will do.
However, those expansion must use the An Empire Divided to function.
I have it somewhere in my storage.
However, the current offer for this 2003 software sell at over $200 to $1,000 currently.
Some offer are still available for $65.
Haven’t found anything to rival the Warcraft 3 editor. 
I spend more time designing, scripting and modifying triggers than I do actually playing the resulting scenarios I create.

How is that compared to old Frontier? Worth a try?
I wouldn’t compare it to anything, it’s something new to be honest. It’s still Elite, but because it’s all online and very open-world, there’s no real story-driven campaign mode or anything like that. It’s more like EVE Online, but with P2P and you fly your ships from the cockpit/bridge.
It’s quite surreal, actually, and one of my favourite pasttimes in the game (aside from ganking randoms in my 1.3 billion credit over-engineered Cutter) is visiting all the real places we know of in the galaxy, like Trappist-1 and Alpha Centauri, the Eagle Nebula, etc. Lots of things to do from combat to exploration to trading to mining (which, unlike EVE, is actually very engaging and even somewhat enjoyable and relaxing… and I mean actually relaxing) to piracy and whatever you want to do.
Here’s the latest video I made using my Diamondback Explorer as a bomber (it has mine launchers, they do the trick) to clear a site I need to scan, which is normally something you do by getting out of your ship in a vehicle called a Scarab SRV. But since the ships all have the same scanner, I didn’t see the need, and developed this technique for clearing the site and scanning it. Saves a lot of time.
I highly recommend HOTAS for this game, or if you wanna get really advanced, dual stick (because 6DOF). HOTAS works fine though, and I use a T.16000M FCS, which has a little push-stick under the forefinger on the throttle, which is great for lateral/vertical thruster control.
