This is why things like this are outlawed IRL, because when allowed, it spreads, becomes prevalent and rips the fabric of society apart.
And, its all due to poor planning, poor design and poor development. CCP never intended this, the development of EVE Online is like a runaway freight train, CCP has no control over it, and is just along for the ride.
There is no other “game” like EVE Online, because people with sense would have terminated this abomination long ago.

You and your friend should talk about continuing Eve perhaps if both of you have about £100.00 RL cash each then you will be able to replace at least 13b of the 19b you lost through the purchase and sale of plex.
Try to get some payback, create other characters and Join this hard knocks alliance, rise through the ranks and when you get access to one of their hangers steal everything you can. This type of gameplay can be good and will renew your interest in Eve.

right but that is the game. If you aren’t engaging in that sure you can run some solo content for a while but that’s going to get boring, eve’s game play isn’t exactly the most fun. Sure you might have some goals like get a battleship, but then what? missions are pretty much turn on your mods and press f1 till done, mining is pretty similar, trading/industry becomes making money for the sake of making money.
if you want some solo adventure there are many other games that have better game play, for the price of a year’s eve sub you can probably buy 3-4 single player games.

I leave this game after being with it off and on since it started. It’s dying, and dying fast. Don’t kid yourself otherwise. A few main Alliances PVPing for world domination… 30,000 online at weekend, (take alts out and probably 5-10k players at best. Piss all over Null Anoms and then same ship struggle with Lvl 4’s in High…bye bye…And no you cannot have my Billions…
