After 14 years maybe you just want to move on. If so then all the best to you. You know full well how EvE has been for all those 14 years (the same). Perhaps people need a dramatic intense reason to seperate themselves from a hobby they have engaged in for so long? If you want to leave, then just leave - no need to dramatise things.

To the OP - Seriously, we are just a few months down the line from the Judge / Gigx thing and people backstabbing each other in EVE comes as this much of a surprise to you?
I have only been here since August and this kind of thing comes as no surprise to me at all.
You have to know if you hand any money to anyone in EVE, especially if you don’t even know them, but even if they are someone you call friend, that there is a chance you’ll be scammed.
I know this.

Like we tell Rookies every day, you don’t fly what you can’'t afford to lose.
You also don’t do 19 billion ISK deals with strangers if you can’t afford to lose 19 billion ISK.
As a 7 month old character, I should not have to tell you this should I?
The only characters you can fully trust in EVE are your alts
The only characters you can somewhat trust are players you can punch in RL.
Everyone else has 0 trustworthiness in EVE.
