In other words, you have no data.
Thanks for admitting it. Feel free to come back when you think the data supports your contention…

In other words, it’s too soon for data to exist because it takes time for the effects of a change to fully appear in the market.
And you still haven’t provided any explanation for how reducing supply magically results in lower prices, contrary to basic economic principles.
So when will the data show you to be right. Let’s get a date on the calendar : )
As to your supply/demand discussion, more happened than just reducing the supply of asteroids. Perhaps you missed that.
And of course, you are ignoring the supply chain implications of the changes…
A year from now.
As to your supply/demand discussion, more happened than just reducing the supply of asteroids. Perhaps you missed that.
What else happened? Supply went down by direct reduction in ore availability, and then supply effectively went down because of redistribution of ore away from easy AFK farming space.
And of course, you are ignoring the supply chain implications of the changes…
What about supply chain implications? Miners are at the base of the chain and don’t care about what happens farther up the chain.
How wonderfully arbitrary.
Yields changed.
Of course they do. They get squeezed on margin as costs for manufacturers increase…and you claim to understand economics…
You asked me for a specific date, and now you whine that the date is arbitrary. Thank you for admitting that you are a useless troll.
Yields changed.
IOW, supply went down and prices must go up.
They get squeezed on margin as costs for manufacturers increase…and you claim to understand economics…
So squeeze back and stop selling unless they meet your prices. If there’s less ore available then manufacturers must either pay more for that ore or not get any ore at all, unless miners are too stupid to take advantage of the situation and keep selling it for cheap.
(Which, to be fair, is not an entirely unreasonable scenario given the number of “MINERALS I MINE MYSELF ARE FREE” idiots in EVE.)
And income is price*yield : ). Guess you missed that.
Are you not… watching the price literally going up?
Are you kidding?
If you were trying to suggest that people were losing their incomes because yield is dropping, then you would be glad to know that prices are still going up because there’s still demand.
So you and your precious miners will be fine. Your income won’t be shot.
And prices are going up because yield is going down. More scarcity = higher prices. Be a smart miner and ensure that this turns into higher overall income for you.
income = price * quantity : )
I just realized I had you blocked for this exact kind of nonsense like half a year ago but it must have expired, that’s on me. Won’t happen again.
Besides, your whining doesn’t matter since the problems you’re seeing now are just temporary while CCP works to drain the stockpiles with their scarcity period as mentioned in their Ecosystem dev blog.
And when price goes up more than quantity goes down, as it almost certainly will, it is a buff to income.
I though it was certain one year from now : )
Merin,
perhaps you don’t quite grasp what is a ‘buff’…
Of course I do. An increase in scarcity leading to higher prices is a buff. It’s only a nerf if you’re a low-skill farmer who is incapable of doing anything but menial grinding in safe space, and I’m quite happy for legitimate players to profit at the expense of those farmers.
Merin,
so I can claim you owe me for the ‘buff’ of not shooting you…
when a Logi boosts you shields, armor or hull, that is a -buff-
if they just sit there and look at you, and fail to shoot you, that is -not a buff-
it would help if you could grasp some basic concepts.
Only if you’re actually in a position to shoot me and choose not to.
The reality here is that low-skill farmers will suffer a (very much deserved) nerf and smart miners will see an increase in their wealth. That is the textbook definition of a buff for those miners that are capable of seizing the opportunity.
