Where are the positive changes though?

Would you care to show how they are a ‘buff’ to the industry/mining folks, we may not be opearting under the same definition of the concept.

It’s simple: scarcity means higher prices for the people who are still able to get the scarce thing. Sure, miners who suck at EVE and can’t win unless they can AFK mine in highsec got hit with a nerf, but who cares about those losers?

The market prices would like a word with you…but never let reality get in the way of a good story

So sure?

What would be the point? Just take a break like many others.

Nailed it right here. ^^

Yes, they have said it, so “seem” is somewhat redundant.

CCP Rattati and CCP Psych told EVE players, on twitch, that if you did not like the changes, that you can unsubscribe because they didn’t care what you thought. CCP Rattati does not care about the folks that put food on his table. The people on this forums in favor of these changes amounts to about 8 to 10 people. Most are pissed off, some have taken CCP Rattati advice and left the game.

Now, I aint no big city lawyer, but it seems to me the ones who put the food on the table as such may not infact be the ones unsubscribing, from CCP’s point of view, if we follow that chain of thought.

Unless you have a more logical conclusion as to why they dont care if a particular section of the player base unsubs?

So your saying its good business to run your clients off? Less money coming in because of player loss hurts the game in many ways. Not to mention that, a disgruntled client will spread the word about piss poor treatment from the game DEVS. Product perception is a hard thing to change once the public has a bad perception of a company and its product.

No, Im saying either they are trying to run it into the ground, or they are working off statistics that say different.

Thats why I asked what you thought the purpose of it was if its so obvious that they will lose subs.

What reason do you think they are doing it for?

Sometimes, yes. There is a difference between customers and good customers.

Except that these positive changes will likely attract new customers, and the removal of the useless farmer parasites will allow CCP to continue making good changes without the burden of millions of whine posts every time some menial farming grind becomes slightly challenging.

(And of course this is assuming that people do quit. Every time CCP takes away a participation trophy the farmers threaten to mass ragequit over it, and somehow EVE continues on.)

I’ve been playing since a million ISK in the wallet was something to aspire to.

I wouldn’t mind going back to that.

Or one million skillpoints, for that matter!

Merin,
I thought so, you are not working with the concept of a ‘buff’ at all…
let’s try a parallel, and see if your definition of ‘buff’ still holds.
CCP decides to give a ‘buff’ to all PVP combat types by giving them a cloud of drones, who’s sole purpose is to target them 24/7 with neuts…
after all, it makes the little bit of CAP you can still have, even more precious,
and hey, other folks can manage to still combat, by trading out their damage buffs for cap buffs, or their shield tank for cap buffs, or by getting rid of cap hungry things like Points, Scrams, webs… or going fore less Cap otions, like instead of fitting a 750mm weapon, fit a 150, 125 or 75mm weapon instead…
or maybe if you are just too stupid or lazy to be able to do PVP combat on only 25% of your CAP, then maybe EVE just i sn’t a game for you…

I dont see how thats a parallel.

What does each of those changes equate to in the current paradigm?

CCP wants to force people to by plex and skill injectors.

I have no idea what any of this is supposed to say…
Is this even on topic? It’s just rambling.

I imagine thats true.

But if everyone unsubs, whose going to be providing the isk?
