Burner Mission - Ship advice to solo them including fittings

Cap Stable Setups
I was recently made very interested in this topic as my connection has been a bit off lately, and well I’ve found an unexpected benefit, It is very easy to dual box with cap stable setups. Any efficiency loss from using less heat, or dropping a damage mod is easily made up for by running a second account in another burner mission at the same time.

These were mostly started by Zarek Kree in this thread: Cap Stable Burner Fits - Missions & Complexes - EVE Online Forums Also a few fits may have been stolen, or loosely recreated from the old burner thread If anyone wants credit for a fit let me know.

I’ve tested them all with pretty much max skills, not sure how many substitutions can be made for lower skills. I’ve tried to make the setups reasonably cheap. Shop around As I’m writing this an a-type EM hardener is cheaper than any of the available B-types in jita.

Implants
I also use 5% or better implants
slot 6: Warp speed ws-615
slot 7: Ogdin’s Eye Coordination Enhancer (6% tracking implant at 5% prices)
slot 8: Zor’s Custom Navigation Hyper-Link
slot 9: ss-905 5% to all turret damage implant.
slot 10: is actually empty or not applicable in the tests I’ve done, Previously I used large energy turret implant, thought of swapping to a large projectile implant, but I think I’m going to recommend the RL-1005 to speed up garmur and hawk kill times.

The Daredevil used against the Succubus can also be used for the amarr team burner mission, Ram and kill one logi frig, then ram and kill the vengance. For that mission I prefer it to the garmur, for whatever reason the logi seem to be the hardest of all to kill with a garmur, but the daredevil beats them nice and quick. For all other team burners I use the garmur.

Edits:

  1. Updated succubus vs Angel fit, added a bit more damage lost some tank. Back to older more cap stable safer fit due to burner changes.
  2. Swapped from b-type 50mn mwds to faction, Shadow Serpentis or Fed navy work and are far cheaper.

When you land target the Burner Dramiel and wait for it to lock you then turn on the AB and align out in a straight line. Once you get the Burner Dramiel webbed you will be faster and it will follow you in a straight line. Set your speed to match, heat your guns, and collect loot.

Warp in, turn on the web, may need to heat for a cycle or two, and ram the burner with your guns hot, get loot. I also use this fit vs the Amarr team, seems a bit faster than the garmur.

Land turn mwd on, ram and scram. I typically heat the MWD for the second cycle. If you heat on the first it tends to allow a double tap from the missiles and that hurts.

keep range 6km or so, turn on guns, can heat with around 25% armor left. The coreli rep is nice and cheap and reps enough, the fit does work with a centii/corpii rep too.

I usually hit approach and it lets me get okay hits with the gun, matching transversal via manual piloting might be better but hey I’m lazy.

with max skills, 5% rof implant, and a faction BCU you can one clip the DD with heat. Using an agency damage booster also helps, can kill it with 8-9 rockets left.

Burner Ashimmu Blood Base – Gila
I haven’t tested this one, I typically find it annoying to run and the payout has dropped over time. The gila is cap stable by default, however it does not have the tank to survive a disconnect. I’ve played with a cap battery ham sacrilege in eft but never got around to testing it.

Bring a 50mn MWD, mobile depot, and MTU, I drop the mobile items at warp in then start killing the drams and launch your drones and put them on the transport. once the drams are down refit the battery for the MWD, scoop the structures + loot, then go finish off and loot the transport.

This will complete the mission but I’m not sure it would survive a disconnect early on in the mission, once one or two of the drams are down it’s safe though. I did a test fit with x-type hardeners and an a-type rep, which seemed DC safe, but that just gets silly expensive. Heating one of the hardeners on the outside seems to be somewhat safe, hopefully gives you enough time to get back in.

this is a less DC survivable version, but very gank focused. Pretty much the original fit only swaps the cap injector for a battery.
