In the current climate the best faction to run for would likely be gallente due to them having high control in their warzone which maximizes your LP payout from the missions. People who live off FW LP farming usually have atleast one alt on both sides of one of the warzones to always be able to effeciently farm

Just a way to get them join their discord.

dont think so. theres plenty other ways to do that. also its a good way to help new guys or even vets who is coming back to game. also any corp can benefit of this, as y can put your corp ads there too in proper channel

You list pretty much every section of EVEuni wikipedia; Why not just simply refer to it and explain that it’s the greatest source for information about the game. Too many links makes your post too confusing and most likely overwhelms new players.

If all the information is on the Discord server there is no reason for you to post it here and vice versa.

You list pretty much every section of EVEuni wikipedia

Of course my list has a lot of eve wiki links
It’s the eve wiki. But there are many other sources of information that no one will find on eve wiki simply because it isn’t there, there are many sources written by players, videos made by players, fits made by players that you will not find anywhere on eve wiki, or anywhere on eve forums.

Is EVE Wiki great? yes. Does it have everything? no. Does EVE Forums have every useful guide? no.

Why not just simply refer to it and explain that it’s the greatest source for information about the game.

As stated above. it doesn’t have everything, and if i said “hey here is the eve wiki look something up” do you think new players know every single thing to look up pertaining to a certain activity? absolutely not.

New Player: “hey whats a wormhole”
ISD_Sakimure: “look it up on eve wiki”

Ok so now they have found a basic guide to wormholes on the eve wiki.
Do they know to look up anything besides that? no.
Do they see fits to use in wormhole ratting sites? no.
do they see detailed guides like https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSbMMEBlM5BAFXldnnX3GDGfUp02OAuMznRljKkbpH4Ff3SyNTrkyEjHSJGkNJsDPqypSZw3sQmQ1Ta/pubhtml#
no.
or How 2 Krab Archives » Ashy in Space no.
do they see videos. no.

Do they know to look up the rule of 6 for hacking without someone telling them to? no.

And whats the most common response to any new player asking for videos about an activity, or fits for an activity? “Google it”, “Youtube it”

and what do they find when they google things for eve? forums posts from 17 years ago with completely outdated information as the 1st result. Youtube videos from 10 years ago. This game has been around for so long they will always see results for outdated or wrong information. When people simply say “look it up” Do they know whats good and whats not? no.
This is here to avoid that scenario, people don’t need to read through 17 year old outdated posts when they can just come here.

If all the information is on the Discord server there is no reason for you to post it here and vice versa.

The reason why I edited my post and added a lot of this information is because a number of people came to me saying “Very nice, but maybe add a list for people who dont use discord.”

Do i prefer to have it on discord? yes, there is more things on there and it looks better and is more organized.

I spent a good bit of effort sifting through the good and the bad guides, talking to groups who run certain activities getting guides/fits they made only for their groups and that aren’t found on eve wiki or forums, made this huge list, had it double checked by a lot of people, made a public discord for people to socialize in and see all of these guides, see a list of in game channels that a lot of players don’t know exist, see a list of other eve related discords. and then finished it off with this forum post.

So why exactly are you coming here essentially shi**ing on it saying “just link the eve wiki”
and not coming here saying “thank you for putting in the time and effort creating a helpful resource that not only benefits new players, but veterans as well”
